The Women’s Society of Washington University has taken many significant steps to solidify the relationship between St. Louis and Washington University in St. Louis through the funding of awards and grants.

Funding Opportunities

In addition to the current scholarships and leadership awards, the Women’s Society is an enthusiastic supporter of student programs at the university through its campus project funding. In 2020-21, the Women’s Society granted $23,750 to 14 university projects.

Harriet K. Switzer Leadership Award

This award recognizes graduating senior women who have made a significant contribution to Washington University during their undergraduate years and have demonstrated exceptional potential for future leadership.

Funding Grants

The Women’s Society Funding Committee awards five to 10 grants from $300 to $2,000 each fall based on a project’s educational, cultural, and community outreach effort that enhances the experiences and quality of life for members of the Washington University community.
